About Claire
Claire Tomasi is a writer, cartoonist, illustrator, and educator from New Jersey. She holds an MFA in Comics from California College of the Arts, and an MA in English from Columbia University. Claire currently works with students and aspiring writers as a professor of writing.
Claire’s stories center around fantastic adventures you can find buried in your own backyard. She spent her childhood engrossed in the pages of comic books, and loves to share her passion for stories with everyone. She lectures comics development, illustrated narrative and prose theory, and comics publication at various universities both in the United States and abroad.
When Claire isn’t writing or drawing, she is playing fetch with her trusty dog, Ticket.
